Scott has been playing tennis since he was five and he has learned many important life and business lessons on the court.  On weekends, he can usually be found hitting balls at the Wightman Tennis Center in Weston, Massachusetts or accompanying his son to tennis tournaments in New England and nationally.  He lives with his wife and children in Weston, Massachusetts.
Scott is a 1984 graduate of Wesleyan University.  In 1988, he received both his J.D. from Boston University School of Law and his Masters in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  He is admitted to the bar in Massachusetts.


Scott M. Soloway, a founding Member of Soloway Schwartz LLC, specializes in computer software licensing, intellectual property protection and general corporate and business transactions. He represents some of the world’s most sophisticated and innovative technology, software, and internet companies in their licensing, development, services and distribution arrangements. He counsels companies in start-up formation, private equity finance, mergers and acquisitions,employment, real estate leasing, and trademark matters.
Scott has been practicing law since 1988 both in-house and at private law firms.  He began his legal career as an associate in one of Boston’s premier corporate law firms.  He served as General Counsel of  Elcom International, a publicly-traded electronic procurement solutions provider, and of Switchboard Incorporated, a leading provider of local online advertising solutions and Internet-based yellow pages.  He also served as Senior Counsel at Progress Software, a publicly traded application development tools company.  Since 2003, Scott has worked in private practice, providing cost effective, practical legal advice from his firm in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
